Healthy Pipeline for Grouper Open-Source Toolkit
An important landmark in the Grouper project was achieved in fall 2011 with the release of Grouper 2.0, which includes many new access management features. Excitement about that release has spurred new evaluation and adoption of the Grouper open-source toolkit.
Among the campuses now evaluating and/or deploying Grouper are Pennsylvania State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, UCLA, and University of Montreal. See the Grouper Contributions page for more details. Overall, a 2011 survey showed forty production installations of Grouper on four continents and sixty in the pipeline.
