New Duo Multifactor Service Subscribers

As of September 18, 2017, 135 organizations subscribe to the Duo multifactor service through InCommon. No new subscribers since August 14.

Research & Scholarship Category (R&S)

The R&S Category includes service providers that support research and scholarly activities such as virtual organizations and campus-based collaboration services. There are currently 74 InCommon Service Providers in the category. Participating Identity Providers agree to release a small set of attributes to the category. Each time a vetted Service Provider is added to the category, that SP receives the appropriate attributes. There are 54 Identity Providers that support the international REFEDS R&S category (which is recommended) and an additional 83 IdPs release attributes to R&S SPs registered by InCommon.

Research & Scholarship IdPs


Eleven InCommon identity providers have declared compliance with for SIRTFI (Security Incident Response Trust Framework for Federated Identity). (See the list.) Compliance means agreeing to a baseline set of security practices and including a security contact in metadata.
