Denver, Colo., February 17, 2017 – Internet2, operator of the nation’s largest and fastest, coast-to-coast research and education network, will stream a Presidents' Day event with former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter live from the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains, Georgia.

  • The event takes place on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. EST.
  • Access the live stream here.

During the hour-long event, President and Mrs. Carter will talk about their personal experiences pertaining to the Camp David Accords, followed by a book signing at the Eastern National Bookstore. The live streaming of this event is made possible through a partnership between Internet2’s United States Unified Community Anchor Network (U.S. UCAN) program and the National Park Service.

The U.S. UCAN program works with regional research and education networks across the country to connect community anchor institutions—including primary and secondary schools, libraries, museums, health care facilities and other public institutions—to advanced broadband capabilities.

“Internet2 is honored to extend our community's technical expertise and advanced networking infrastructure to enable people from all around the world to virtually participate in this very special President's Day event,” said James Werle, director of K20 Initiative at Internet2.
