Brown University Shares Video Engagement Strategies utilizing Internet2 NET+ MediaCore

Video engagement is heating up this summer at Brown University as they leverage a new platform to deliver video learning content across campus and beyond. Register for this upcoming webinar on June 23 at 11am ET and June 25 at 1pm ET to learn how the Internet2 NET+ MediaCore video platform is making it easy for Brown’s students and faculty to securely record and share video content across all platforms and mobile devices and integrate with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and Desire2Learn—bringing video to thousands of online courses created by institutions.

And, thanks to Brown's leadership in helping to bring MediaCore into the Internet2 NET+ initiative with four other institutions validating the service, NET+ MediaCore is tailored for higher education institutions. The service is now available to all Internet2 higher education members in the NET+ early adopter phase. Now, its easier than ever for institutions to host and manage a growing library of high-definition video content and deliver it to a wide range of devices in students' hands, both on and off campus as part of the NET+ Video, Voice & Collaboration portfolio

This special webinar will feature Brown sharing their experience with MediaCore, as well as 2015’s key trends in video learning, tips for effective content creation, and audience Q&A. Brown will share how they are:

  • Creating a seamless video sharing platform to organize and deliver video content — from learning content and special speakers to public-facing, marketing videos.
  • Integrating MediaCore with Brown’s LMS — NET+ Canvas — to make it easy for instructors to share course module videos.
  • Allowing students and faculty to produce, view, and manage videos based on their roles leveraging Internet2’s InCommon Single Sign-on and Grouper access management system.
  • Already enabling sharing of more than 2,000 university-licensed feature length movies with Liberal Arts students.

Finally, we’re pleased to have MediaCore as the first NET+ service to be delivered to members via the new "QuickStart Process" — designed to meet an increased demand for cloud services and to give institutions a fast track to subscribe to NET+ services before or during the NET+ service validation phase.

Register for this webinar to reserve your seat. Even if you can't make it, we'll send you the recording!
