Enlighten Your Research Global 2015: Advanced Networking for International Research
During the 2015 Global Summit, Internet2 was one of the twelve leading national research and education networks (NRENs) representing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe to announce the official launch of the second Enlighten Your Research Global (EYR-Global) program. This program, which helps accelerate international research collaborations by providing selected proposals with improved networking, data transfers, and/or engineering support, is accepting proposals from now until May 30, 2015.
EYR-Global is a program where network organizations come together to help accelerate international research collaborations through improved networking, data transfers, or engineering. Scientists submit research projects that could benefit from access to advanced networks and technology and consultation with expert engineers to help improve research workflows. The selected projects then receive customized network engineering support for a year.
In 2013, four research projects in climate, genomics, and computer science received awards in the form of network resources and engineering consultations so as to improve the science workflows in each project.
The call for research proposals has been extended until 7 June 2015. Visit the EYR Global website for more information and
