Officials and administrators at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, in Berkeley California, today broke ground for the new Computational Research and Theory (CRT) Facility.  The CRT will be at the forefront of high-performance supercomputing research, helping lead to advances in the game-changing energy technologies of tomorrow.  This facility will bring together some of the distributed resources of LBNL, including the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) and The Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) into a single facility to serve the greater science needs of the laboratory.
