Title: Unified Communications in 30 Minutes or Less

Speaker: Dr. E. Brent Kelly, Senior Analyst & Partner, Wainhouse Research

Abstract: In this fact-filled, dynamic presentation, Dr. Kelly reviews the current trends in the unified communications (UC) market, including the move to cloud-based UC solutions. He discusses recent moves by Microsoft, Cisco, and Avaya, shows survey data on adoption trends, and gives a glimpse into why organizations may be deploying certain solutions over others.  This event will be of interest to higher education IT managers and CIOs who are charged with managing and "visioning" the communications and collaboration needs within their organizations.

When: 2pm on December 13, 2011

Title: The Changing Face of Classroom Tech: What Does the Data Say?

Speaker: Alan Greenberg, Wainhouse Research

Abstract: Campus technologies are evolving at warp speed, as a result of the consumer-driven tech markets and new understanding of the value and impact of these technologies. Many organizations struggle to make sense of which technologies make the most sense for which purposes, and how best to deploy them. This session will include data from new survey research, including data from Internet2 members, concerning deployments and uses cases for unified communications, web conferencing, videoconferencing, lecture capture, and more.
