Los Angeles router swap last night

One of the initial steps Internet2 is taking on its path to 100G is to get its IP routers in place to accept the new optical circuits when they are available. Practically, this has resulted in a process whereby we've been swapping out Juniper MX960 routers with upgraded Juniper T-1600 routers over the past month and a half. We're nearing the end of the first portion of that process. The Los Angeles router was swapped out with great success last night. The engineers in the field report the swap was made in just under 2 hours- an impressive feat given the logistics of moving all the connections and configurations around. Well done, team!
