TIER Campus Success: Call for Participation to Help Identity Deployments
We're just a couple of days away from the submission deadline for the TIER Campus Success Program. You still have a chance to get in on the action. The program involves deploying one or more TIER components, sharing your lessons learned, and participating in training. Please go to the wiki and read the details. The deadline is August 25.
Why are we doing this? One of the things we've heard is the need for help with adoption of TIER ((Trust and Identity in Education and Research), the community-driven effort to develop a consistent approach to identity and access management (IAM). Toward that end, we hope to attract a diverse group of higher education institutions to participate in the TIER Campus Success Program and share their experiences.
Through this program, Internet2 will provide education and training, access to subject-matter experts to support adoption, and facilitate peer engagement with fellow adopters. Participating campuses agree to provide lessons learned and share documents, presentations, project reports, and other artifacts with the community. That way, everyone benefits and can accelerate their local adoption effort.
The TIER Program will select a limited number of diverse schools through this call for proposals. The chosen organizations will commit to participating in the Campus Success Program for one year.
