Preview of Trust and Identity at 2017 Global Summit
There will be plenty of rich content for the Trust and Identity community at 2017 Global Summit, April 23–26 in Washington DC.
A highlight will be the keynote by Ian Glazer, an internationally known leader in identity on Tuesday, April 25 at 1:15 pm.
Among the identity-related program sessions, one that’s sure to be lively is The Great Identity Debate on Monday, April 24 at 3:00 pm. In this session, moderated by Nicole Harris and Brook Schofield, experts will argue this proposition: “SAML based Identity Federations have been operated at NRENS for over 10 years. This house contends that the current architecture for SAML federations is outdated and must be replaced within the next three years.”
Want to explore identity issues associated with Big Data and science data sharing platforms? Consider attending Digital Collaboration in Science Requires New Approaches to Handling Data and Identity, on Wednesday, April 26 at 3:00 pm, presented by Michael Tartakovsky, CIO of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases/NIH. Tartakovsky will explore why collaborative platforms that integrate institutional identity as well as individual identity will have more complete compliance with guidelines for human subject research.
For those seeking the very latest news on the TIER Program, please check out these two sessions on Tuesday afternoon: TIER Stories from the Field: Harvesting Early Adopter Experiences at 1:15 pm and TIER Roadmap: Working Together to Develop the Path at 4:30 pm.
