CINO Summer Update
The innovation office continues to engage in collaborative innovation discussions with members on topics related to technologies and uses for advanced networking and trust and identity. Community discussions included keynote addresses from Florence Hudson at regional conferences for OSHEAN (Rhode Island) and I-Light (Indiana) in June, and LEARN (Texas) in July—at the University of Houston, the subject was how to best leverage the Internet2 and LEARN networks for scientific, digital humanities, and internet of things research and collaboration.
Florence also presented at TNC16 in Prague, reviewing Internet2 community efforts in the smart campus/communities areas, and researcher engagement with colleagues from ESnet (US DOE), GÉANT (EU), SURFnet (Netherlands), DFN (Germany), and JISC (UK). She keynoted the first IEEE Connected Healthcare conference and participated in the Cancer Moonshot Summit with US Vice President Joe Biden, a mission in which our community is involved, with networking and trust and identity implications.
