Internet2 and SkySync Announce Free Trial Offering and Exclusive Pricing Model

Internet2 and SkySync are pleased to announce a no-cost trial offering and a new, exclusive pricing model for the NET+ SkySync service. These two changes are a direct result of advocacy by various constituency groups in the Internet2 community.  The NET+ SkySync offering is currently available in the early adopter phase as part of the NET+ portfolio of services and was sponsored by Morehouse College.

As an exclusive benefit to Internet2 members, and NET+ subscribing institutions, SkySync is offering a trial of the software for up to 30 days and up to 300GB of File Transfer/Sync at no cost.  SkySync is a powerful middleware software that enables Internet2 members and higher education institutions to tightly integrate and sync or migrate files across a wide variety of on-premises and cloud-based storage services. Organizations can easily transition from their legacy storage platforms to more cost-effective and flexible file sharing services, while maintaining existing folder hierarchies, file properties, network user folders and permissions.

Morehouse College CIO Clifford L. Russell, Jr., said that the extended trial offer will be beneficial to fellow Internet2 Members. "I encourage other Internet2 members to take advantage of this opportunity to test-drive SkySync without risk, and anticipate they will find it to be as highly valuable as we did," Russell said. “It was such an effective solution for Morehouse College; we could not have completed our transition to Box cloud storage without SkySync. We have a very small team, and the advanced technical support that the SkySync team gave us was superb!”

The new aggressive pricing model for the NET+ SkySync service is detailed on the NET+ products and services site.
