Strategic Services for Leaders in Research and Higher Education
Internet2’s research support services help research and higher education leaders accomplish more with less. As a trusted working partner, we'll put the considerable infrastructure and human resources of the Internet2 community to work for you, managing existing technology demands across your campus and beyond, developing strategic technical roadmaps for your organization, and planning new initiatives that will put your institution at the forefront of research and education innovation.
The Internet2 Research Support Center works with you hand-in-hand to effectively integrate the research-enabling infrastructure and services of the Internet2 community into your own applications and environments, right down to the engineering, planning and pricing.
As part of our mission to nurture excellence in research and education, we offer funding for qualified individuals to work full-time on collaborative projects with Internet2 staff and community members.
The Internet2 R&E Network Research Liaison program was created to foster new and expand existing relationships with state and regional research and education networks. The program will provide insight into the components and the complexities of supporting researchers, and explore how to extend support breakthroughs to the broader research community.
Have a project that would benefit from the world’s most advanced network research testbed? Request access on the Internet2 Network for specific, fixed-time projects and grant proposals. We think allowing researchers to experiment on a short-term basis is a great way of simulating innovation and transforming research.
To equip researchers and network engineers to gain a better understanding of the utilization and inner workings of a large-scale network infrastructure, the Observatory provides a unique and comprehensive real-time operational dataset collected from Internet2’s nationwide high-performance network.
In addition to the Observatory, the Internet2 Hosted Research Program allows researchers the opportunity to deploy, experiment and observe in-progress research on the Internet2 Network for a limited period of time.
Internet2 actively supports member research by providing advocacy with funding agencies, consultation, letters of support, grant preparation assistance and more.
