QoS Session 1: Building a DiffServ Testbed for Internet2
To meet the QoS needs of our member institutions and to enable
tomorrow’s advanced networked applications, Internet2 has recommended testbed
experimentation with the absolute services envisioned under the evolving
Differentiated Services (DiffServ) architectural framework. Internet2
is working to unite various efforts to deploy DiffServ through its QoSBone
effort. This effort will focus primarily on:
-
fostering interoperability among participant clouds
-
encouraging collective problem solving
-
developing tools and techniques to push the technology forward.
This session will introduce the goals and scope of the QoSBone and will
provide a forum for discussion. A panel of members from the Internet2 QoS
working group will be available to answer questions.
