Commodity Internet Access
Advantages:
- Could be cost effective
- would provide some good routing efficiency
- would provide some fault tolerance
Disadvantages:
- user community today expects a higher level of service for their commodity Internet access
Should we provide more than Internet2 access now?
For now we plan to leave commodity Internet access
to the campus. We’d eventually like to have direct commodity
Internet service from multiple providers through MAGPI.
