Community Led, Member Focused

Internet2 Logo

Internet2 brings together thought leaders representing a wide range of disciplines from more than 300 member organizations. The broader Internet2 community comprises international networking organizations representing more than 50 countries, and state educational networks connecting more than 50,000 institutions across the United States. Internet2 works to support members as they meet the challenges of cyberinfrastructure that are increasingly central to innovation in research and education.

Developing and deploying cyberinfrastructure is an inter-organizational endeavor, and Internet2’s engaged and diverse community is uniquely qualified to tackle this challenge. Member-led Internet2 Working Groups, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and Advisory Groups are actively solving common problems, addressing networking challenges, and developing new technologies and methodologies. These groups are active in many areas, including network performance, middleware, security, real-time collaboration tools, the health sciences, science and engineering, and the arts and humanities.
