Advances of Relevance to Clinical Activities SIG
Charter
The mission of the Health Sciences Special Interest Group on Advances of Relevance to Clinical Applications is to use the innovations resulting from the work of Internet2’s membership to inform and advance the state of the art of clinical practice that can benefit from the use of advanced networks and related technologies.
Purpose
This Special Interest Group:
- Monitors and promotes the activities of Internet2 members conducting or participating in Health Science research that uses advanced networks.
- Identifies and works to reduce or eliminate barriers to the successful use of advanced networks by Internet2 Health Science researchers.
- Identifies needs for advanced network resources and technologies within the Internet2 Health Science research community and works to meet those needs.
- Works with Internet2 Health Science researchers to identify appropriate advanced networking resources for projects.
Organization
This SIG may have multiple "sub-SIGs" that are discipline specific, e.g. Neuroscience or Cancer. It is critical to keep a focus on the "big picture" of advances of relevance to research activities.
