Agenda:
Welcome & Introductions (David Lassner)

Informal Conversation with Doug Van Houweling/The Future: Merged or Not Merged
Doug shared the sequence of events to date regarding the merger and other
future networking activities at Internet2 and responded to questions from the ASC regarding neworg and the future of ASC.  More details will be shared at the first General Session of the Spring Member Meeting.

ASC Project Discussions
IDEA Awards (Greg Wood)
David thanked Ted Hanss and Greg Wood for the outstanding work done to coordinate the initial IDEA Awards.  Intent is to have the winners announced at the Spring Member Meeting present or demo at the following Fall Member Meeting.

Real Time Communication (Tyler Johnson)
Tyler Johnson, chair of the Internet2 Real Time Communication Advisory Group presented the ASC with work done thus far.  Process has been to develop relationships and to determine consensus.  Deliverables included recommendations about restructuring and realigning working group efforts. Other deliverable was to identify what technologies are in use now and which ones are important for the future.   Tyler recommended that the RTC Steering Committee be structured much like MACE.  He feels that some RTC groups have been around too long, are no longer focused and not chartered.  He suggests using a common set of Middleware to avoid conflict.   A RTC Summit meeting is tentatively planned for June.

Campus Expectations Task Force (Bill Decker)
Bill recognized Ray Ford’s work on the CETF report.  He shared how the CETF believes the report is applicable for neworg, existing Internet2 and NLR and for other organizations with whom Internet2 has relationships.  CETF report describes why we are here and builds a case for by-in with respect to national agendas and research missions.  This report was accepted by the ASC.
