The Internet2 community always has been focused on developing and deploying advanced networking technologies and capabilities. This shared vision has led to the steady growth of Internet2 membership, as well as development of a broader community that includes educational and international organizations. At the end of 2004, more than 300 universities, companies, affiliate, and association members were joined by 45 International Partners and 34 state education networks in a common effort to explore, deploy, and use advanced networking today to create a better Internet tomorrow.
