Collaboration Sites

Internet2 Logo

Designation as a Collaboration Site allows Internet2 corporate and affiliate members to access the nationwide Internet2 Abilene Network, enabling them to develop, test, and deploy networking capabilities and applications with other members of the Internet2 community. While they may be part of a larger organization, collaboration sites are dedicated to research and education. By the end of 2004, nearly 30 affiliate and corporate members had locations designated as collaboration sites and connected to Abilene, enhancing their ability to work with university, corporate, and affiliate members, as well as other organizations that are part of the Internet2 community, such as international MoU partners.
